My first foray into coding was attempting to create a social media application during my 7th grade. I only got so far as to create the landing page with sign up and log in buttons with a background picture. I wrote it in Java and had very little idea what the stuff I was writing meant. I remember that I encountered a nasty bug and I worked on resolving it for one sleepless night which I finally resolved the next day.
I developed it on my DELL Venue 7 tablet which my dad had bought for me (with which I also played a lot of Minecraft PE, among other games).
Then I forgot about coding except that it stayed in the back of my head as I finished high school and got admitted to college.
I couldn't enrol in Bachelor of Technology/Computer Science because I scored extremely low in Mathematics so I enrolled in Bachelor of Arts (Political Science).
I could tell it wasn't for me so I started exploring alternative paths to take after I had finished the namesake degree.
And that's when I decided to stick with programming.
I chose Web Development because it was the easiest to get into and so I started learning on FreeCodeCamp but it was terribly hard at first.
But soon, I started to get more into the flow with it and later bought a JavaScript course on Udemy (which I still haven't completed).
I made a couple of projects and now I am making this blog as we speak.
My dream is to get a job at Google and I know I will work my ass off for it.
Come what may, may God grant me his favour.
Thank you for reading, hope you have a blessed day!
