How I code everyday

In the morning I wake up at 7 A.M and go for breakfast at 8:00 A.M.

Since I have a day job as a receptionist at Shilp Wellness Retreat Center, I get ready to begin my shift at 9:30 A.M.

Since we have no clients/very few enquiries, I whip out my laptop and start my routine with 10 minute typing exercises on keybr and monkeytype. As of today I am averaging 80 wpm, which is a significant improvement from my previous average of 60 wpm (and I thought I was pretty fast then).

After the typing exercise, I start a pomodoro timer for 45 minutes and begin whatever I had planned to do early morning or the previous day. Right now I am building this blog following a very well-made tutorial by JS Mastery on Youtube.

My thoughts:

I am excited and really enjoy the experience of working with React, Tailwind, Next.JS, GraphQL, GraphCMS albeit I am still following a tutorial right now.

I have courses that I bought for React and Backend JavaScript that I haven't yet started because I haven't finished Jonas' JavaScript Course. But since I dived into Javascript on freecodecamp before I took Jonas' Udemy Course, I consider this my diving into moment into full-stack before I learn the related technologies seriously. My goals:

Every morning I take a good look at the job requirement for a software engineer at Google and I kind of sigh at the requirements that I do not meet like having a computer science background. However I do see the things that I can focus on including, mastering Data Structures and Algorithms, API Design and being able to document, debug and teach code. My goal is to become a software engineer at Google but until then, I will find a job that pays handsomely (remote preferred) and continue dishing out as many projects I can build with sheer brutal consistency. Thanks for reading! I hope you find my post helpful!
